Meet the family behind

How it Started

I started this small business after my baby was born in 2019. I would spend time researching, working and collaborating with laboratories and suppliers during the frequent late night feedings. Finally, Silli Strings was launched April 2020 at the beginning of a pandemic. It has been quite the journey so far, but so fun. I have learned so much about myself during this journey and have BIG plans for this small business of mine!

My Mission

As a first time mama who tries to be eco-conscious, limit toxins, and plastic I was SO frustrated at the “natural” baby market. Watching the price jump from $ to $$$ just for natural and non-plastic items, was disheartening. Especially, when it came to the popular pacifier clips that I wanted in every color!

My Motto

Rainbows have always been my favorite. They represent promise and joy after a storm.

When I was designing this logo with my talented friend, it was important to me to have a rainbow in it. Not just because I enjoy organizing my house following ROYGBIV (wait, doesn’t everyone?), but because it’s the ultimate reminder to me.

We have all gone through huge storms in our lives (and still do), where the rain never seems to end, but then it does and there is always a rainbow left in its place.

So whether you believe the same things as me or maybe rainbows mean something else to you, I hope that when you see my posts and designs it reminds you a little bit of that promise 🌈

Here are some answers to the questions I receive the most about my products.

Materials

Limited to no plastic is my goal!

My products are made from non-toxic, FDA standard food grade silicone. Safety tested in a third party lab and free of ALL harsh chemicals.

Other materials used include:

All natural untreated beech wood
Non-elastic nylon cord
BPA free plastic on clip prongs to protect clothing

Pacifier Clip Sizing

All three sizes work for any age so it all is based on personal preference.

Stretch – (no, it’s not stretchy!) Great for holding all sizes of light weight items, clipping to baby carriers etc.
Classic – My go to size. It’s great for all ages and holding onto small-medium sized items.
Petite – Great for newbies and crawlers. Clip it onto the shoulder with a pacifier and it won’t touch the ground while crawling!

Limited Edition (LE*)

I have SO many color and pattern options, that I rotate seasonally! If you see “LE*” on the listing, be sure to pick it up because it won’t be around for long or possibly ever again!

Packaging

Each product is individually wrapped and makes the perfect gift. Local orders will have a white paper bag included and wrapped in tissue paper (while supplies last. Colors may vary)

Care

Keeping your Silli products clean and safe is easy!

Clean your products with mild soap and lay flat to dry. Be careful not to let water soak/sit on the wood. I recommend moisturizing your wood accents and clips with a food grade oil that is safe for your baby ex. coconut oil, olive oil etc.
Check products for damage before each use and discard if any damage is seen. The recommendation is 3 months with strenuous use.
Always use with adult supervision and never leave a child unattended with these products.

I follow the CPSC safety guidelines and carry Children’s Product Certificates. If you would like a copy with your purchase please email me.

My products have been safety tested by third party laboratories.

Local Pickup

If you live in Lompoc, CA or surrounding areas and want to save on shipping costs, choose “pick up” at checkout.

The pickup location is at The Lazy F & Co Mercantile.

Located in old town Lompoc – 111 South H Street. Neighbors to Certain Sparks and Southside Coffee Co.

Pick ups are done on Fridays between 10:30 AM-5:30 PM. Other days may be arranged if need.
